Heart-breaking to read about this. My condolences to Heather. I was reminded by something my cousin was telling me the other day. She has a friend whose nephew was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. The frustration is that the poor kid started vomiting since this year January and his parents did not bring him to see any doctor until March-April. From the diagnosis, the tumor of the 6 years old kid is found to be almost the size of an adult's palm. I was SHOCKED when my cousin told me this. Which parents in the world would ever allow this to happen to their children. Like my sister, every time her kids has a slight cough or flu, she would immediately bring them to the doctor already. Now the poor kid is undergoing Chemo treatment in the hope that it can reduce the size of the tumor so that he can undergo an operation.

Touching post and so true. My son and daughter-in-law lost their first pregnancy at five months. They named her Kiley and we think of her often. They are due again this summer and we are all on edge knowing that things don't always turn out the way you hope. Maddie has a sweet, sweet smile:)
